Established in 1993, GIEU, an independent unit of The University of Liverpool, has had a significant impact on business growth, graduate job creation and retention and economic regeneration.
The Unit has helped more than 5000 unemployed graduates to secure employment, creating over 1250 new jobs in the process, and more than 2000 organisations to improve their business performance.
GIEU's extensive range of high quality training programmes and resources are designed to stimulate and integrate individual and business growth. The two main areas are:
- Graduate placements and business skills training
- Windmills career and life management programmes and resources
These services have helped individuals to gain relevant work experience and move their career forward and organisations from every sector to recruit, motivate and retain key staff, stimulate innovation and improve bottom line results.
The Unit's work would not be possible without the support of partners and funding agents. Its philosophy for continuous improvement includes forging even greater links with the business community and GIEU's numerous partner organisations, to deliver leading-edge workforce and business development training, facilitating the links between effective career management, life long learning and business competitiveness.
